Hi all, I just finished a first floor remodel project with brand new solid wood flooring and I have an awesome spot for a 3 foot tank. I picked up an Aqueon 40b on a deal from Petco and have been gathering equipment, making plans to drill it and build a stand. In doing research, I've come across a few threads where people have had the bottom seal leak on their 40b. Given the new flooring, this would be devastating and now I'm nervous to roll the dice. What's been people's experience with the reliability on these tanks? Anything I can do to help avoid disaster? Are there more reliable tanks in this same footprint available? Thanks!

I bought the 75. when i looked at a few the build quality varied substantially. Some glass was misaligned. Silicone was poorly done. I think you should be fine if it looks well assembled and has a good stand.
