40 gallon breeder stocking ideas

Currently I have
2 clownfish
1 flame tail blenny
1 diamond goby

I was looking to add more fish

I have LPS and SOFT corals and want a reef safe addition

I have not had any problems with aggression from the clownfish

Would it be possible to add a smaller species of tang?

What is everyone’s thoughts for a good addition to the 40??

I have a 40 breeder and suggest a royal gramma (my favorite) and blue green chromis. Make sure you take thru quarantine especially the latter.

I like cardinalfish, green citron goby, maybe a couple of barnacle blennies if you have enough rock for hidey holes and firefish gobies. I also like royal grammas.

I like sharpnose puffers, firefish, flasher wrasse (if you have a lid).

I agree with the suggestion for a royal gramma. They are very colorful and interactive fish, in my experience.

Tangs should not be considered for a 40B in my opinion unless you have a solid plan for rehoming it when it outgrows the tank. I still recommend not getting a tang at all for this tank size.

I don't know we'll enough to say if there would be issues. Maybe when they get bigger?
