Hi guys, I have my stocking list ready and was wondering what you all think about it? Powder blue, Hippo, yellow, sailfin and clown tang, lemon peel, flame, queen and emperor angelfish, and a fox face rabbit fish. Any feedback appreciated I'm on the fence if this combo will work. Thanks

It seems like you would have an aggressive tank with the temperament on most of those fish but for the size I would think youre okay if you add them in the right order. I would ask @vetteguy53081 what hr thinks about the PBT, sailfin and clown tangs since they can be nasty tempered! I would add the foxface first since those are skitty and shy so it can claim its space. Most fish leave foxfaces alone Ive noticed.

Would also suggest adding the queen and emp angels as juveniles together, might have better luck with them getting along!

Gosh - the three most temperamental tangs
If an order clown, pbt then sohal and rabbit should do well with this batch
My clown is huge but hasn’t been my worst tank jerk

Thanks much for the advice, I love the clown tangs! I've always wanted one. I will see how it goes I have a 125 gallon sump if someone needs a time out lol

Yeah me too, wouldnt work in my tank so I went for a regal angel as they have similar coloring. One day Ill have a shoal and a clown tang!!! This honestly sounds like a challenging tank but very rewarding if you can get them all to play nice!

I was planning on adding all the tangs at the same time, would that help aggression?

That would be a maybe but will also have an impact on tank's bioload and best quarantined prior to introduction as some listed are susceptible to parasites

what are the dims of the 300- 96x30x25ish?

sounds like it;s going to be a beautiful tank. if you can get them to get along.
always wanted a clown too. lookers there are. but they sure can be nasty.
love the PBT never had one either isn15+ years of reefing. from what I hear then can be ich magnets but man a healthy PBT is a show stopper.

the emp. & queen together now we talking! they get BIG. but I am sure you know that.

if it was my tank I would skip the fox face and go with a wrasse, but its no may tank I have my own tank to stock...lol sadly its not a 300. :( really wanted the GC 310 but i saved $$ and when with the IM 200/275
so no emp. or queen for me. BOO

Yes PBTs are awesome! My girl is fattening up nice, trick Ive found is lots of nori and supplements in the food. No sign of anything from her at all

My stock list is in my signature.

I've had the majority of these fish together at least 6 months, some close to a year except for the Pineapple and Queen Triggers are relatively new.

Small triggers seem to tolerate each other. I haven't had an issue with a trigger killing another trigger.

My Sohal Tang is huge, mean and grows quickly. Similar to the Clown Tang. There is absolutely no way it would tolerate another Tang. Same with the Emp Angel. I wouldn't attempt another Angel.

These two are my favorite fish and they run the tank. Let me know if you have any questions, good luck!

Here is a feeding video

Love clown triggers. How did you get him to play nice and not hit the murder spree everyone talks about??

He doesn't do much other than derp around.

The CT gets aggressive during feeding but never to the point of the Emp Angel or Sohal Tang. Those fish spend too much time just harassing others at random. However, they are the most responsive to humans approaching the glass and all can be hand fed.

How big is your tank?? And how fast did your clown trigger grow?

It’s a 230…probably an inch a month, thick too. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s about 8 inches now.
Dang! Beautiful fish. And your shoal tang too!!

Would love a shoal one day when I have the tank and more experience keeping tangs! Flo is giving me a taste of the more aggressive tang attitude and shes for sure a little bit if a challenge but I love her. Getting to be a fatty too.

Love the Powder Blues, so many tangs I'd love to try but I'll hold onto Hal until the bitter end (he's actually bullying the Blueline Trigger right now, lol)
