Ok so I started this on July 8th with loading all the rock I owned. I acid dipped and soaked the rock to get this started. I just finished this past Sunday with the tank running Sept 25th. Every Sunday I would do 50-100% water changes in the brute. I added some backteria every couple weeks with the microbacter 7 I believe is how you spell it. Brightwell stuff. So about 11 weeks cycling rock in brute altogether. Using RO/DI system for water. Built my own stand. Now it’s just waiting to add some fish and then some corals and extra equipment. Started out reading 0.90 on phosphates and now down to 0.04. All other readings looking really good. About to purchase hanna nitrate checker just haven’t gotten one yet. But great build for me lots of patients lol. Using the AI hydra 26 for light.

I really like that wall the aquarium is sharing with the plants!

Ok so update on the tank. I have zero nitrates‍♂️. So my tests are all hanna checkers now besides ammonia not spending money on that using api for that lol.
ammonia - 0
Nitrate - 0.0 (HR)
Temp - 82
Gravity - 1.025
Ph - 8.1
Alk - 8.1
Phosphate - 0.02

I’m in the process of getting temp down a bit living in Florida is an issue lol. Purchased a battery powered fan to place in stand to blow some air around. Using ac return pump is my issue with temp I’m pretty positive on. Besides that I have a barebottom tank. So about 20ish lbs of rock I’ve got in it. Really surprising I have absolutely no nitrates. I do have some algae growing on rocks that can mostly be blown off with turkey Baster. I do 5 gallon water changes every Sunday. My next step is either adding some more bacteria or just start dosing nitrates. I feed half a cube of missis shrimp. I have added 3 weeks ago 3 fish. 2 clowns and 1 raccoon butterfly fish. I know lol when he gets bigger just trade him out. I also added some reef roids for 2 straight days that does nothing for nitrates lol.
