I have a standard 20 gallon sump, that was designed to hold a bio ball box. I removed the box, but there is just not enough room for a fuge. Does anyone have or know where I can get a 20L sump with a refugium. I'm not very handy, but I certainly don't mind paying lol.

Fuges don't have to be very big. How many inches of space is it. The space is not as important as you would think because it's still total water volume not a separate water volume for a fuge.

So I just built my sump using a 40 breeder and acrylic panels for dividers to create a skimmer region, fuge and return pump "zone". If you'd like to build your own I can certainly provide you with some tips. It probably cost me around $100 when it was all said and done (including the $50 40 breeder which I had already).

Doesn't the fuge area and the return area, and the skimmer/reactor area all need to be seperate. Otherwise, my pumps would run the risk of sucking up chaeto. Or something... or am I wrong. Never ran a fuge before so I could be completely wrong.

A local reefer used to keep cheato in a eggcrate box, it kept the cheato from ending up in his pumps.

I don't run substrate in mine. It probably helps. Personally I run a Trigger Systems sump. I absolutely love it and have never regretted my purchase

+1 for using a Trigger System. I have the Ruby 36 model and I absolutely love it! I hear the Emeralds are wonderful to!! I personally run mine with Miracle Mud because my copepods and amphipods like to bury themselves and so I could anchor the seagrass and macro algae down.

The Ruby 36 is what mine is I believe. I'd have to go back and check lol. Fits perfect under my 125.
