I'll wait until all of those are out before I watch them. Mando is good, but not something I feel the need to tune in every week for though.Waiting for more Mando, first couple of episodes were great.

That's what I hear and I'll never watch it. I'm done with Star Wars and Marvel. Mando is the only one that remotely interests me anymore, and I'm guessing this will probably be the last season of that show that I watch as well. I'm just tired of Disney and the endless stream of crap content they spent years putting out. Andor is too little too late, and I'll be danged if I give them the pleasure of more views from the account I'm sharing from a friend and not paying for!!!If you like starwars shows watch ANDOR. Yeah there were couple of filler episodes that they could have done a little better at. I like progressive shows where the story moves forward but the last of us kept going back in time with the original stories of characters which I kinda don't likeOverall, I'd recommend it.
I was worried at first because they started out with the haggard "strong female teen has to take care of the stupid male adult" trope. Plus, Joel and Ellie had a lot of differences in their on-screen chemistry versus the game, and I prefer their chemistry in the game. She's kind and naïve, while Joel is emotionally closed and tough as nails. Over the course of the story, that leaves a lot of room for character growth. The show started off with Ellie being too bold, and Joel being too weak.
Having said that, episode three came out of left field and won me over, despite being part of the overall problem with the season: not enough time is spent on Joel and Ellie. Take out episode 3 and 7, which have basically nothing to do with Joel and Ellie's relationship, and you're left with six episodes that have other characters and plots mixed in as well. Although they did a decent job making you care about the main characters, they would have benefitted from giving them more time to grow.
Also, more zombies! The scenes with the zombies were executed very well, and I could have used a little more of that. The majority of the adversaries were just other humans, which is also interesting and exciting, but I feel the ratio was a little off compared to the zombies.
And to contrast that, they had those lovely vignettes that told a lot of backstory in a short period. The one that's in Thailand or Singapore or wherever is a great example. Had nothing to do with the main characters, but it did a great job world building.Yeah there were couple of filler episodes that they could have done a little better at.
