So I have had my FOWLR 65g tank for 6 months. I have 2 clowns, 2 engineer gobies, watchman, royal gramma, conch, tiger pistol and some Nerite snails. No corals at all and I don't think I will any time soon.

Params are 0/0 Nitrite/Ammonia, 8 PH, 7 ALK, 13.5 Nitrate, 1.023 salinity, temp 78, 0.0 Phos (could be 0.04 with margin of error of my LR checker).

Had Diatoms from months 3-6 but they have almost entirely gone away. Never had a hint of any other algae until the past 2 weeks when some started to grow on the rock work. It appears to be flowing thin branches that are sort of tan / brown colored. They aren't goopy or slimy looking at all. Under scope at 400X they look almost clear but have some diatoms attached to them. I have not seen more than what looked to be 1 or 2 individual dino looking things and mostly I can't see anything that looks like one. I know they can look like slimy brown goopy that could wave in the flow too but what I have looks like thin filaments. I am surprised it's brown though, so looking to see if anyone knew what kind of algae this is.

Thanks!!
