150 or 120?

well after lots of debate im having a hard time deciding whether to keep my 150(48Lx24Wx31H) vs getting a 120( same footprint just 24 tall) the reason is im afraid that i will have a hard time doing anything in the bottom of the 150 and if i get the 120 then it might be easier to do work on the sandbed. before i make my mind up i thought i would ask for your opinion.

I am very thankful I didnt go with the 30" tank. Bart's 300 is a bear to reach into.

I have a 150 same dimensions and yea its hard reaching things on the bottom when full of water
Unless ur 7' tall lol .. but that's what they make those extenda grabbers like jay uses. But also light would be weak also less u want a high powered setup to grow sps and zoas depth probly good then but overall ur not really gona b able work with things on bottom well. For these same reasons I been thinking of doing fowlr with mine way later. Could be just as cool with sime nice fish. But I also have a 40g that I can use to get my coral fix in with lol. So id say depends on how much work u wanna do. Could be cool having a tall mixed reef. If ur goin sps dominant then 120 all the way.

Personally I think 24" is probably the deepest I would go on a tank, and even then I'd prefer 21". Go for the 120.

shorter is better! but so is longer and deeper front to back! Let me hook you up with a DSA 185 (60x30x25). only needs 2 MH so you save $$ but still have plenty of space to aquascape.

I love my 30" tall 150g. It's very dramatic, and always gets compliments on the height. I personally don't find myself working on the floor of my tank much, so having to break out some tongs and a step stool once in a while is a fair trade off, IMO.
