About due for an update on the 120g gallon. Tank has been running for 2 years now, currently running about 30x flow, HOB reef octopus skimmer, 200w maxspect light, and 150 lbs of rock.
I just removed the mechanical filtration from the sump entirely as it was catching more pods than detritus. Instead I've added some bio balls, shower luffahs, and another 20 lbs of rock to the sump to encourage microfauna growth. Current stocking is
Several BTAs
Microhermits
Trochus, turbo, and nassarius snails.
Bicolor blenny
Sailfin tang
Hippo tang
3 fairy wrasses
Melanarus wrasse (temp)
Valentini puffer (temp)
Ocellaris pair
Court jester goby pair
Male striped dragnet
Pink spot goby with tiger pistol
Gold head sleeper goby
One spot foxface
Royal gramma

The tank is finally starting to come together. Only a few fish left and i can start on coral.
