What started out as a FOWLR tank with macro algae for a bluestripe pipefish and pygmy filefish evolved into a beautiful, natural looking soft coral and invert dominated reef tank.
The Equipment:
- Seachem tidal 35 HOB filter
- 528 gph powerhead
- 50 watt heater
- 10lbs of live rock
- 10lbs of sand and crushed coral mix
- versa top glass lid
- JC&P 24 watt full spectrum light
- purigen, Seachem matrix, phosguard
Maintenance:
- weekly 20% water change (switching to reef crystals salt this week)
- bi weekly nitrate and phosphate testing (I don't bother testing elements for this tank)
Display Macroalgaes:
- chaeto
- sea lettuce
Corals & Nems:
- Kenya Tree
- Pulsing Xenia
- 2 rock flower anemones
- might add a mushroom or paly
Inverts:
- 4 bumble bee snails
- 4 cerith snails
- 3 sexy shrimp
- 2 bumble bee shrimp
- adding a pistol shrimp
-porcelain crab
Fish:
- Green Clown Goby (hulk)
- Firefish (Diablo)
- Wheelers Watchman Goby (to be named)
- no more fish will be added
