I came home from work today with my clownfishes mouth open and staying open with this white spot on its lip area what do I need to do he hasn’t been super active like he was and he is still eating though

Where does this cauliflower disease confrom and how can I go about getting rid of it from my tank or is it just something the fish has can it be spread? Should I remove the fish?

Looking into it, it is something that the fish will learn to fight of on their own. All fish may get it, but its not deadly. Make sure that if you introduce new fish they will most likely get it, but im sure cleaning the tank and making sure all are clear will help. No big worries just keep them clean

I posted a similar thread in January about my clown. Here is a pic of her.

She still looks the same. Still not sure why she looks like this but she does and is still alive and happy. Hope this may settle you mind a bit.

Looks to me a mild case of lymphocystis. It's a virus that all fish carry, but rarely shows up, and when it does is typically harmless. A bit like a fish version of a cold sore really. With a good diet, stress free environment and clean water it should go away on its own.

Caution may be necessary if it doesn't go away and continues to grow, it may impede the clowns ability to eat, but as I understand it, it's very uncommon for it to progress to that stage.
