Hi! this is my 3rd attempt at trying to keep xenia and i just got this frag at my local fish store around 5 hours ago. I was wondering if the part at the front was normal for it to shrink because of the lights being off or if it was melting. My parameters arent completly perfect i have an issue...

My Xenia is quickly spreading in my rock to my torch. Will this become a problem? I’m worried the torch might sting the xenia, or it’ll grow over the torch. The torch is relatively new (around 2 months) and it’s still on its frag so I can still move it somewhere else. What do you guys think?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy 3 frags of xenia or gsp that are roughly the same size. My sister is doing an experiment on salinity change and how it affects growth, so I'm trying to find some reasonably priced frags. I'm located in Oviedo FL but can drive to pick up.

Hello reefers,
Today I’m setting up to place some Xenia on the back wall and I wanted to show my way of doing it.
1.) cut a small piece of plexiglass. Can be transparent or the color of your background. Then drill the hole in the middle . ( I didn’t have drill bit large enough so I made a...
Have 2 pink tube anemones for sale $50/each. They are abut 6-7inches fully expanded at night. Love low flow and non photosynthetic. Also free Xenia, very large stalks on the back wall. 1 frag of branching GSP & one Xenia/Zoa combo frag $15/each.
Hello everyone!
I will be visiting Anaheim this weekend and I decided since I am in southern California, I should purchase some Xenia. I am looking to buy some at a reasonable price, also open to the idea of other corals that are hardy and at a low cost (currently managing Disneyland budget)...
I have a 1 year old system with mostly soft corals. All the fish are doing fantastic as well as, the majority of my corals. However, my Duncan, candy cane, & xenia are not. The Duncan was doing well but looks like it's a goner. The candy cane & xenia frags are alive but not well. The xenia will...
I have a weird issue that seems to be going on with my Xenias. On a few of the polyp stalks, it seems like there is some banding going on or something. It kind of is hard to tell from this video, and a little hard to get a good pic of it, but you can kind of see it in the middle polyp in this...
I removed some rock from my Fluval Evo 13.5 to scrape off some pulsing xenia and then three days later my hectors' goby is dead. Did I do something wrong that contributed to his death, or was it just a fluke?
Here's how it went: I removed the xenia with a razor blade, rinsed the rock off with...
Hello fellow saltines,
So I just added a couple new corals (the first two after my disastrous attempt with my very first two). It's a 5g with an upgraded light and the addition of a Sicce powerhead. The corals are a Purple Plume gorg (photosynthetic) and a xenia. I originally had them on the...

Hey y'all,
I've been trying to solve a Xenia problem for some time now, and I'm wondering if this could be the problem. I have a 10 gallon aquarium with a single clown, 3 snails, and one emerald crab, that has been battling Dinos for months. The tanks is looking better, but my Xenia is looking...
Hello,
I got a pulsing Xenia about 4 ish months ago, and up until the last month and a half it was doing well and pulsing like crazy. Now the polyps are skinny and not as puffed up without any pulsing whatsoever. I have also been battling prorocentrum dinos and now have a forest of GHA however...
For the entire time I’ve been reefing, I have been setting my frags in the most stable locations on my live rock without using any adherent. I just started two new pico builds, one has a protopalythoa Zooanthid that seems a little stressed sometimes but also seems happy at others and isn’t...
New frag of pulsing Xenia. Got from my LFS for $25 it’s actually pretty huge compared to the pictures. Now my question, should I leave it attached to the rock it came with at the bottom of the tank or cut them out and glue to a piece of the live rock that’s the main centerpiece.
Hey everyone my pulsing xenia has been doing great but over the last day and a half I’ve noticed it begin to look more rigid and less tree like than it usually does. Something seems to be off with my anemone as well. All my parameters are good, salinity is good so I have no idea what could be...
Introduction
Hey everyone! I thought I'd start a build thread to track my progress with my newest reef. I had about 7 active tanks running simultaneously when I was 13-15 years old, but then lost interest in the hobby and got rid of everything. I'm older now and haven't been working as much due...
Can we compile a list in this thread of the different types of "Pulsing Xenia Corals". Please include common names and scientific names if you can along with a picture that you think is representative of that type. Any additional information/personal experience with that type of xenia would also...
