There’s a new device coming out called Kai. It’s a A.I. computer that will create the perfect environment for our aquariums. What do you think. Sounds amazing, right now we can only test then dose but this will do it all. I just saw it so I’ll do some more investigating.
Everything in photos for $700.
Used a couple years, came with a massive tank breakdown and I don’t need it. Everything was working great and has been carefully cleaned.
Will meet in St Paul weekdays or pickup a half hour east of St. Paul anytime. Will ship in the 48 US. Verified business...
Hello everyone,
I am new to the hobby, RedSea 625XL, about 6 months old. I like automation and considering the purchase of an automated testing system. The Neptune products seem to be popular, but are there others? 1) They are understandably efficient, but what about accuracy? 2) Are they...
Hi All, I have been eyeing up the Mastertronic to help with the testing and wondered if anyone had any experience good or bad with them? Or is it better to get the Hanna eggs? Mastertronic looks great but it’s not cheap! (Same as most things in this hobby).
Hey Everyone!
I wanted to get your take on test kits. I recently was fortunate to acquire a Mastertronic from BRS. I had a LFS help setup and calibrate the unit and it is using Red Sea pro solutions for Ca. It is currently reading at 561 and I think it is not quite calibrated correctly but...

Hey reefers,
So I was wondering that our hobby relies alot on attaining "stability" but in it's raw form, what does stability even mean? I have few theories on what, why and how of stability in a reef tank. Feel free to correct me or share more opinions.
What:
- Stability is a range not a...
I'm just getting started and wondering if there are any recommendations for water testing equipment? I was eyeballing the Seneye Reef Aquarium Monitor, but am seeing a lot of mixed reviews. Hanna has a lot of individual digital testers. Is there something like the seneye with better reliability...
Neptune Trident (with unopened 2 month reagent + extra 2 A refills + partial B and C)- $500 shipped. Orginal box is included roughly a year old. Moved to a FOWLR tank so I no longer need this.
I'm a controls engineer by day, so I've been musing about making a DIY Trident / Reefbot automated test system in my spare time.
My willingness to embark on such a project is dependent on the availability of affordable reagents, and preferably reagents that dont need to be vigorously shaken...
Question: If you own a Trident, do you still perform manual tests with the test kits that you used prior to acquiring a Trident, such as Salifert, Hanna, Red Sea, et al. Why do you, or do you not, perform manual tests?
I tried searching for threads that involve discussions about whether Trident...
If you are having trouble with your ReefBot, lets discuss them here.
Lets find out if we are all having the same issues.
I am currently experiencing the following issues with my new reefbot.
1.RoDi and waste container volumes are not calibrated correctly.
2.Result Values are not accurate...
