Hello everyone, I am looking to try my hand at a cryptic zone in my sump, I have seen plenty of posts here about Steven tyree and his CMAT ebooks, so much so that I would like to buy it and read for myself. However it appears that his website hasn't been updated in a while and the link to...
Hey everyone I have a possible sponge issue that I'm trying to figure out a way to kill and or remove them without messing up the torch at all. I ordered some stuff on an online auction site (Aquariums Wholesale) and when I received and opened up the package to get ready to acclimate and dip the...
I've been a Tampa Bay Saltwater customer for more than a decade now and have started at least half a dozen saltwater reef aquariums using their rock, sand, and clean-up crew. TBS is an amazing asset and resource for hobbyists in the USA. In this article, I hope to offer some insight into their...
Last year's freeze in TX hit my 6 yo tank pretty hard and I didn't have a battery powered heater or pump to save it :( Unfortunately, most of the fish, the inverts, coral, and sponges did not survive. I take a lot of pride in the care of my critters so, losing so much of my tank so quickly hit...

I noticed some white roots on my toadstool a while back and after some research, determined these were sponges. Over the next few months, they’ve attached to more and more coral. Where I’m able, I remove them as a precaution and benefit of coral trying to extend.
Is this normal?
Will this...
