shells

So i went to the beach the other day and when i was there i picked up some shells that caught my eye. Some with barnacles on, some are muscle shells, other mollusk shells and also parts of a crab carcass. (shown in picture) Is there anything i must do to be able to add them to my tank?

I just got a blenny to try and help with some algae Issues and I am wondering if the sand has too much shell/rocks for the blenny. last week I took about about 1/4 of the old sand but I did not shift through the old shells and rocks. Should I do something for the bottom of the tank?
