Hi all, just recently found flatworms in my large frogspawn colony. Dipped it and about 7-8 small flatworms popped off. Inspected after it was back into the tank and nothing. I wake up this morning to check and now I see them on my green octospawn. Was curious how others approached this fix and...
This is my first tank and I have been keeping it for almost 1.5 years. I have no idea what these small black polyps are that are growing like crazy. They seem to be a small fast-growing coral that closes when I touch it.
My LFS told me to basically perform surgery and get the zoas off that...
Hi all, I recently set up a new 30 gallon reef tank and am trying to figure out what to do. For some background, I have a 13.5 which I bought a rock that had 3 awesome nems on and placed it in my tank knowing the previous owner had dinos. This sparked the dinos in my 13.5 which I have recently...
So rn im having a huge problem with hair algae and Dino it is everywhere. I ran hydrogen peroxide for a today and now was told just to take it all out and buy pods so i bought pods and now we’re waiting. Had to take out peroxide bc it was hurting my corals. Does anyone have any other ways in the...
This is aiptaisa right? It has little curly tentacles with bubble looking segments. Hard to get a good photo of it. Gonna try and attach a video of it! (: tank is empty aside from the live rock for cycling!

Hi all, I am new to Reef2Reef and happy to be here. After trying to find the right place to ask this question, I hope I found it!
I have a feather duster explosion. One in particular has grown in size and decided to make its home right in my coral. It is beautiful and I am not mad he’s in my...
Have some nice golden clove polyps that are very pretty...but also grow like a weed. So far they seem to luckily be growing around my corals, but this growth is too explosive. I thought removing them would be a breeze but their web is harder to remove than I expected. Any suggestions?
Hello,

The battle with GHA is turning toward victory. The last coral to be cleaned is a small section of yellow polyps. What’s the best method? Is there a risk of poisoning the tank if I’m too aggressive with it. Sorry if these are rookie questions.
I have a frag I bought from a local reefer with Paly's (furthest to the left in photo) on them but he gave me a concrete frag plug... Almost hate it as much as the plastic one I got recently with my candy cane coral... What would be the best way to remove the Paly's from the frag? He had them...
Hi all, does anyone else with a Clarisea SK-5000 have problems removing the dirty roll? It should just slide off but after 10+ roll changes, i've yet to manage to do that. I end up cutting away with a knife - creating a real mess and stink!
I have this back tank of mine where it has grown coralline algae and made the surface quite rough.
On top of that coralline, there this assorted bad algae, the likes of GHA ..
I was thinking of scrubbing it using magic eraser but come to think of it, it may not work as the eraser will be...
40G breeder tank with approximately 35G of water. Tank is bare bottom, with frags predominantly Zoa. 1/20th of tank volume is rock and sand in seperate section, along with cheato the size of two softballs, also in a seperate section. Tunze 9004 skimmer, and AquaClear 20. GFO material was...
I have a 40B that was used to treat a pair of tangs for velvet. Both tangs survived treatment in Coppersafe and were traded into my LFS when I got out of larger tanks. I now have the desire to use that same 40B to set up a freshwater planted tank with some ram cichlids.
How do I go about making...
hey guys i have a few questions on flatworms but first let me add some background information, i currently have a nano aquarium set up for a G. chiragra mantis shrimp and i has some other cuc in there as well but no corals or fish just a marine planted tank if you will dominated by macro algae...
I've got a Fluval edge 6g nano that's been up and running about 5 weeks now. No fish, just CUC and random hitchhikers.
I noticed the first couple of d.hydroids a couple weeks ago isolated to one rock. They have since spread to most of the other rocks. Not infestation levels yet, but a good 6-7...
Or, I should say one rogue peppermint shrimp!
I have one lone peppermint shrimp (refered to from now on as PS) left in m DT from a moment of shortsighted decision making one afternoon. I got a nice cleanup crew set up for my 120g and since I chose the larger size I was offered a free sea...
I've read the different methods for getting rid of, aka killing, aiptasia and I'm willing to try them. I have a question, though. I have about 4-5 of the buggers on very small rock with some Favia(?). The rock is no bigger than a small egg. Is there any reason why I can't just pick the rock up...
