Hello R2R,
I have a lightly used AquaUV Classic 15W with 2" to 1" unions. This UV is guaranteed to work and was tested on a Reefer 250v3 with custom return pipe and Apex COR15, getting 220gph at the 35% range. This is an ideal UV for anyone that wants to control or manage pests while also being...
Available sizes: Small, Medium, Large, and XL. Please note that the majority of sales will comprise Medium, Large, and XL sizes, as they are more readily identifiable and collectible within the breeding tanks.
Due to their prolific presence in both a dedicated breeding tank and two display...
There are tiny worm looking things on my clam, they are hard to the touch, what are they?
I read somewhere they could be vermitid snails or tunicates but I’m not sure, and should I remove them?
Hi Guys lately i have seen in my salt water aquarium in the return tower this small dots i don’t know if they are eggs or small pests do i need them or do i scrape them off. The fish don’t seem to be interested.

Hey all! Relatively new to the hobby with less than a year of experience. Noticed my lepto wasn’t looking too hot and shortly after, I noticed these guys hanging out on the underside of the frag. My searches through the forums lead me to believe they’re hydroids, but I was hoping someone with a...
Hello all,
I have a new tank with no inhabitants. I had some red ogo I rinsed well and kept in some fresh salt water for a week or two before adding to the tank. I didn't see anything on it and thought I'd be fine. Nope. I now have literally thousands of these crawling hydroids. They're the star...
Hello guys,
I have this struggling hammer . I’ve done entire due diligence ( gradually increasing magnesium, adjusting flow… ) but it’s still doing poorly and it seems a pest problem.
On it there is a feather duster, some sponge like things and I noticed today one very tiny worm ( baby brittle...
I got this almost new reef delete when buying a used setup, supposed to destroy pest DNA so they will not be able to reproduce and eventually get eliminated. I dont think I would use it. New ones sell for $350+; selling it for $280 with shipping included.
Hello Everyone
This is a thread to hopefully finally figure out what these strange worms are. These have appeared in many threads in the past several years but so far we have no true ID , as it seems they are becoming more prevalent in our systems , I thought I would put together one final...
I was cleaning my coral with hydrogen peroxide solution and 2 worms dropped from the holes.
I don't know if it is a bristle worm which became fat due to hydrogen peroxide or it is my nightmare: a fireworm.
If these are fireworms are there any easy hacks to get rid of them.
Hey there I have a 35 dsa lagoon tank and in the recent weeks I’ve had these random things pop up not sure what they are. I asked other forums and no one knew any help would be appreciated thank you !
These little white-gray friends are spreading rapidly through the rocks. They dont look like they move (aka dont look like barnacles) and are a bit see-through. Some of the corals that are in contact with these are a bit angry. Anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?
Hi all!
I have seen baby aiptasia pop up in my tank very infrequently, I usually spot about 1-2 a week (if any at all) and I’m a person with really good eyesight. These baby aiptasia have always been on a rock or frag that I was able to pull out and treat out of water, however in this case, I...
So I have had this coral for over a year, and this frag in a branch from its original colony. I was doing ok for 2~3 months, and suddenly it stops growing and I can observe zero polyp extension even at night time. It does keep encrusting on the rock as of now, and start to show some fluorescent...
I’m looking for some recommendations as to how to rid my tank of these pests.
After being told to let them run their course I’ve had no luck in them disappearing. They now cause my zooanthids to constantly shut. Have read that it’s due to their stinging nature.
Looking for an invertebrate or a...
Hi All,
I am new to reef keeping and I thought it would be fun to share my introduction (horror) story to the hobby.
I started out with a 10g tank that had an arag-alive substrate bottom. I then bought 2 chunks of live rock and let the tank go for a few weeks while monitoring the water...
Hello,
I just noticed these hard, egg like things on one of my rocks. They seem like brown, curled, hard eggs. They don't seem to move. I have some bristle worms in the tank but they don't seem like bristle worm eggs. CUC isn't eating them because I've had these for a bit now. I just had a ton...
So I bought a box of Caribsea Liferock Frag Zone rocks, the directions said to rinse them lightly so I did but after a few hours I noticed these "bugs" swimming around. I'm new to this hobby so I have no idea what they are and whether they're beneficial or not. And if they're not, how do I get...
I’m planning to add new fish now. As far as fish I have a 29 gallon tank. For fish I want it to prevent nudis, worms, and other pest. I have fish as rn (a fire fish). Fish I want is a Melanurus wrasse and a six line and a yellow Coris wrasse. And last a scoffer blenny. As far as these, these all...
Okay so I have this container in my tank that used to have my Chaeto algae ball but thats been gone for a while and nothing new has been added in months and now the cup has these fuzzy white almost squid looking things attaching to the plastic of the cup? You can see the vine-like leg things...
I have a Fiji 39 gallon peninsula. Love the tank, all of my parameters have been decent (ive had it for about 10 months now). I have had torches successfully and got a lot of coralline algae growing which is super exciting. I
Unfortunately, I let a pest problem go too long. I had a lot of rock...
I have an 80 gallon tank, 3ftx2ftx2ft or 90cm x 60cm x 60cm (if ya nasty). I am looking for a few fish that will do certain things.
I would like to have a small shoal of fish that could work as dithers (not anthias), a fish/invert that will eat aptasia(sp?) and a fish that will eat parasites...
