I have this rimless aquarium. the unit was made to support the weight but the dimensions slight overhang the front and back. i know many rimless manufacturers produce them with overhangs to sit flush with the doors etc. this was a custom built tank and my manufacturer has assured me it is fine...

I originally started with a 125-gallon, 4-foot tank at the beginning of the year. My husband started filling it with the RO/DI system attached to my sink directly into the tank while I was at work. It was forgotten about and flooded...the stand was pretty warped so I didn't trust it to hold the...
This past weekend we officially became owners of a Red Sea Max C250 AIO system! When we picked it up we thought the tank looked like it was relatively clean. BOY WERE WE WRONG! Here is what we started out with:
I'll admit, it's probably not the worst tank you guys have...

Hello all,
It’s a pretty funny story how this 20G build came to be. My GF and I were at uncle bills to get her a Beta fish, one thing led to another and we were stuck on the gorgeous saltwater fish. We both always loved aquariums and I’ve always wanted a tank. Well we decided to go with a...
I started my 10g May 9th of this year. I started with 9lbs of live rock and sand, and let it cycle for about 3 weeks (I was excited and rushed everything, but so far it's been okay) before putting in a domino damsel. I know he's way too big, but he wasn't a forever fish lol. He was fine so I got...
Hello all,
I am nearing completion on my fully DIY 150gallon reef tank. The tank that I made is 60”x24”x24” and has a 50gallon sump. I am using about 2” of sand, as well as some NSA rock sculptures I made (about 120lbs of rock). The sump will contain an 11”x11”x11” chaeto refugium, 4L+ of...
After a cpl years of saving I was finally able to purchase the tank and equipment I desired. Things changed several times during this period right down to a cpl weeks before purchase... the Radion Gen 5s got released lol. Anyways, heres where im at so far. ....
Hi everyone!
Just thought I’d start a thread to document my journey on setting up my new reef tank.
The tank is an Evoluation Aqua 900, it’s about 200 litres (230 incl. sump) and the dimensions are 900cm x 45cm x 50 cm. The stand came with a wood finish but I sanded it down and painted it so...
I left this hobby after an experience that had me change careers away from marine animal care. One year ago & waist deep in ball pythons. . . I realized I was incomplete without it. While I will never return to working in an aquarium or zoo professionally again, the easiest way I know to bring...
Hi everyone,
We just bought a new home (Santa Rosa CA) last fall and decided it was time to upgrade our reef tank. Spent a great deal of time looking at tanks at the LFS and online. Finally settled on the Reefer 750 XXL. One small problem, they were on back order on almost every site I tried...
Hey everyone,
So I am looking for some cool ideas on what to do in a 20g high tank. The only equipment it will have on it is one AI prime, a hang on filter with media bags, a heater and an ATO.
Thanks in advance for the suggestions!
Hello,
I am about to start a new build. I was able to get a tank second hand that fits perfectly in my house. It is drilled for a closed loop style to go with a standard overflow sump filtration.
This excites me as I don’t like the look of any cords or equipment in my display including...
Hello everyone! I’ve never been much of a writer but after finding that a lot of people make build threads I decided to give it a shot. I’m mostly doing this so I can journal my journey and maybe I can help those starting out avoid mistakes I’ve made.
Where to begin? Hmm [emoji848]
Let’s...

Hey Reefers!
I just sold my RedSea Reefer 250 and will be downsizing to a 25 gallon lagoon. I will be attending graduate school next year for Marine Biology, so I needed something a bit smaller for my new room.
Anyways, the tank and APS cabinet will be here tomorrow, along with most of the...
Hello, I am working on a new build my system is similar to what BRS is doing for the Low maintenance tanks.
The tank is a 60 gallon Marineland cube with the Marineland stand( DIY isnt my thing so I will live with the stand. It has one drain and one return line drilled in to the bottom of the...
Hello all!
I am having a hard time deciding between the Red Sea Reefer 170 and the 250.
I currently have a 28g nanocube and wish it were a little larger in size.
I'am worried that if I go with the 170 I will regret not going bigger.. but then I am worried if I go with the 250 it will be more...
Hello all Reefers!
This will be my first build thread on R2R.

My name is Brian. This is my first post on R2R. Just some quick background info on me.... I'am currently living in the state of California, working towards a Masters Degree in Marine Biology.
I have been in the saltwater hobby for a little over a year now and it has become...
Hi I'm Dez. I just found R2R about a month ago and it's great!!! I'm not brand new to aquariums but not as seasoned as many of you. I have done freshwater tanks off and on since I was a kid. When my kids were little we had several tanks, a 60g and a 40g.
More recently, my partner and I got back...
