Not sure why but it seems Red Sea left out how to properly grease the hinges or adjust them for that matter. Does anyone know how to properly grease these?
Hi Everyone!
I’m getting a 150g, 6-foot saltwater tank setup and more than anything love Eels (hence the screen name). Since I would like to have a few other fish in the tank I’m narrowing my search down to the less aggressive types, and would like 2 Eels in the tank ideally.
If I wanted to...
Hey everyone,
I'm just about done cycling my new tank and adding fish into it. My question is this, I mostly have softies with some LPS and very limited SPS in my existing tank (which will be decommissioned after new tank is complete). Many tanks take a while for stability before...
Hey guys new tank set up here, i got a Waterbox 15 peninsula. So far the water has been cycling for 3 days straight, i have had a couple days already where i had to add some water because the pump was running dry. I am assuming that it is evaporating? either way the water is staying clear and...
I’m creating a nano 32.5g bowfront lps and soft coral tank, and I’m wondering what tips you guys have. I am somewhat of a beginner, but have a lot of knowledge IMO, and may be able to be considered an intermediate depending on how this setup goes.
THINGS ABOUT THE TANK:
I’m going to add a 10g...
Hi
I'm looking for some advice, tips and recommendations. I've been looking for a while now at starting a salt water nano reef tank. After reading many forum posts, youtube videos and chats with a few shops, i think i'm ready to start.
Just want to post below the equipment i've settled on, if...
I am setting up a new tank in the next few months and I have decided on the Waterbox X60.2. For ones who don't know this is a 40 Gallon Reef Cube with a 20 Gallon sump in the bottom of the stand.
I am in college so I am on as much as a "budget" as is can be. At the same time I don't want to...

Hi, new member, first post, but have been reading R2R for years. I finally took the plunge and started my 1st marine tank. It is a Nuvo 40, I will be running a Kessil a360x, 2x maxspect xf330's, ghost mid size skimmer, carbon, floss, and gfo in rack. Approx. 20lbs. life rock, 2" Bimini pink...
After months of waiting my clown pair have finally taken to the green tip but I have a new home(larger reef tank) for them cycling right now so the question is - Do I transfer them together at the same time or does one go before the other? My smaller clown dominates the green tip - maybe will be...
So, I ventured into that wonderful world of tank upgrades. I upgraded from my 70g cadlights II tank to a Waterbox 5226 peninsula.
I'll be the first to say that it was quite challenging and took me nearly all day to do it.
I found myself worrying and stressing during the whole process. But...
Hello everyone, I'm restarting my 5 gallon nano sometime this week or next week and when asked if I was going to use sand or go bare bottom I wasn't sure.. but now I was thinking, Why not use miracle mud/ mineral mud? I've never used it before, but I've heard of people using it and giving great...
I am trying to decide if I want to reduce them down to 1'' or go with a new sump that has 3 1.5inch bulkheads. I think this style of draining benefit's you with a greater pipe diameter! It also improves the flow rate of the siphon but the fact that a larger diameter pipe on the non-siphon drain...
I recently bought a Red Sea Reefer 350 to upgrade from a 46 gal Bow front. So here is my issue, I want setup my Reefer 350 in the same spot as my current 46 gal Bowfront. What is the best way to do this without losing any fish? Oh and I also bought new sand, so the old sand will go in trash...
After years of telling my husband that we should have seahorses, he has finally agreed to help me set up a seahorse tank! We currently have a 125 gallon reef tank, a 29 gallon biocube, and a 15 gallon frag tank. Back in the fall we purchased a 65 gallon tank with stand, and have slowly been...
