Thought someone might find this interesting, doing a regular deep clean of my skimmer and had the pump apart after letting it run in a hot water acid bath. when i pulled out the impeller i was greeted with a impeller full of pet hair. Maybe someone will go clean there pumps now.

I just went to restart my tank after a few years out of the hobby and my protein skimmer pump isn’t pushing water. It’s an AQ 2000s. It hums but won’t actually push any water. Anyone got any ideas on if I can fix it or am I just better off buying a new one.

fairly new to hobby how frequent do you replace filtersock. Just placed some ick treatment and wanted to know if I should replace the sock to help get rid of any ick/ich treatment trace still in the filtration.
