k7 mini

My wifi network cannot do 2.4ghz (it forced everything over to 5ghz) so I tried AP mode. AP mode just says this and doesn't actually connect. Am i just crazy or is this really confusing? I followed the instructions for AP mode exactly and it won't connect! Is my only option to get an old...
