hitchhiker crab

While i was feeding my tank, tonight i notcied this in the rocks. Im not sure if its a hermit crab or something else. Picture quality apology, it's from a video capture.

This little guy has been eluding my camera for quite a while now, but I finally got a picture of him. He was a hitchhiker on a Petco rock and he’s super chill. He hides most of the time and only comes out when food is close to him.

This carb has made a hole in the sand under all my rocks I would never be able to get him. Should I leave him in or get him out. Is he safe to leave in?

Hello. Hoping someone could help me ID this hitchhiker who has been in my tank for a few weeks now. He is quite small, so the video and pics wont be all that clear, my apologies for that. Legs are yellow, which turn into a light red pinky/orange colour. The body of the crab is purple...
