I working on my lighting settings for a ritteri in one tank and a gigantea in another tank. I have Radion XR30 G6 Pro's. Looking for some suggestions/parameters. If there is a thread about it, send it along, I could not find one. Thank you for the help!
There’s a healthy H. magnifica showoff thread, and yet none for S. giganteas, so let’s start one!
There are some notable giganteas on this forum, and if you’re like me, you’re partly in this hobby to keep and care for these gorgeous creatures.
Let’s see ‘em!

Hi all. I recently got a green gigantea and it has been looking ok so far. No serious mouth gaping and has only deflated twice a couple days apart when the lights were off on the HT. I am going to be away from the tanks for a couple of days at the end of the week and didn't know whether to start...

I got this gig from @galactic_coral on 08/20/20. Since there were no other anemones with high risk of infection in the tank, the gig went directly into DT. At the time the DT was a 40B which was upgraded to SCA 120 gallon 7-8 months ago.
Prior to the upgrade the tank was illuminated by two...
I wanted to make a thread that follows my dealings with Stychodactyla gigantea (gig) carpet anemones and post updates to some experiments with them.
My first post I want to introduce maybe the most rare gig I’ve come across so far, a red gig. The classification of this anemone was under...
Hello fellow reefers!
My last marine tank was many eons ago, where regular water changes was the norm.
Fast forward to 2020, I had initially ordered a REEFER 250, the order was unfulfilled due to COVID 19 and refunded.
On hindsight, not a bad thing...I went with the bigger REEFER 500...
I've been spending the last 6 months looking at some of the gorgeous tank builds here and now that my own tank build is taking off, I will introduce myself. I go by Variant on forums and I love good coffee, hiking, and my miniature schnauzer Mona.
I travel frequently for work but will try my...
I'm currently having a Nem tank with around 17 BTA, 1 SRBTA, 2 Sebae. My question is I want to add a S.Gig ( small/medium), can I do that ?
I know new nem will find its own spot to settle, will it kill my other nem?
Most of the Btas are about 4 inches aboved the sandbed.
Anyone have experiences...
I just got a small, only about 3 inches, multi-color Gigantea anemone last night. I am just a sucker for save-able
Gigantea Anemone. I suppose this due to trying so hard to keep these over the years. Anyway, he is in my QT system, looking OK for being in my QT system for about 12 hrs. When I...
