So I was just gifted two small, what I believe to be, devils hand leather corals. Are these the ones that give off chemicals that stunt the growth of other corals? Forgive my ignorance but leathers, outside of toadstools, are foreign to me.

Hey everyone, just added my Devils hand to the tank yesterday after dipping it in revive. I haven’t seen full polyp extensions, most of the small polyps are still not open. It is now day two.
Is it about to shed first since it’s in a new tank? He’s placed in medium flow and light.

Hey fellow reefers, we currently received a coral frag package from a fello hobbyist is our area. We where told this is a Devils Hand Leather but further research makes me believe this might be another type of leather, any input would be great thanks!
