I have 2 Cyphastria corals in my Tank. One is encrusting and the other is Branching. They are sitting at 100 Par with the branching showing these white lines that look like cracks. I am using a AI Blade light the Parameters are all good and all other coral in tank is thriving! Any ideas what is...
Hey guys new here and first post. About a week ago I noticed some white spots on one of my cyphastreas. I’ve had it for a year and all parameters are as follows

Here's my 16 gallon (40 liter) office tank! One day I said "I think I'm gonna get a tank for my office and everyone thought I was kidding.... well I wasn't. This is my first reef tank so it's been a little trial and error but I'm proud of her. Not really a great photographer and I feel like...

‘First corals’ question— Zoanthids.com had a sale and I had only set out to get zoas because my tank is only about 2 months old, but for the price of about 20 bucks I was able to get a meteor shower cyphastrea. I think the gatorades and the meteor shower would look cool together. Question is...
Meteor shower (I think) It doesn’t do much. But it’s growing like wildfire for an encrusting coral.
here’s some photos with a time reference:

14th August (12 days ago

26th august (today):

I have read a lot about it. Most say cyphastrea does not require strong light, and thus, I added my new cyphastrea to a little crevice where most of the light comes from reflections after a week at the bottom of the tank in a corner.
BUT! lately, I have noticed that the parts of the coral...

My cyphastrea started developing these white spots a few days ago and they have spread. Is it tissue recession or is there something else going on? Going to do a H20 change as soon as I can get the salt tomorrow but so far all my chem looks good. Any ideas? https://ibb.co/DC0Tbkg

Ok so I know ones SPS and one is LPS but can these two corals coexist on the same rock or will one run the other into the dirt with coral warfare? I have a Mr. Freeze lepto I want to pair on its rock with a cyphastrea but I’m not sure how they would interact:
Anyone who has used cyphastrea as an encruster for your back wall, is it easy to remove when it encroaches on your rock wirk? I am getting a sweetheart cyphastrea soon and want to use it on the bacj wall but don’t want it to grow over my rockwork where it touches the wall and encrust over...
I just noticed a gray hole on my cyphaestrea?
Params:
Nitrates: 7
pH: 7.8-8
Alk: 8.4
Mag: 1440
Calc: 500
Temp: 80-81
all my other corals are doing well and growing, granted they are easy soft corals.
The cyphaestrea looks like it has a gray spot on the right which doesn’t look like bleaching...
Hey y’all, I bought a red brick cyphaestrea from top shelf during their sale event, and it arrived with a white spot near one of the polyps. I tried gently brushing it off and doing a dip but it seems like slight bleaching. Can anyone confirm, and if so, what is the best course of action to help...
