Hello dear Community
I wanted to start up the aquarium today and rinsed it with osmosis water, but unfortunately the edge of the aquarium bumped against the bathtub. A crack has formed (See Pictures.. (third pic from the downside))
... now my question... the aquarium still seems to be...
I just got a second hand tank and now that I have it home and am giving it a good clean I have noticed a time crack in the top corner above the waterline. I have attached some photos (ignore grime).
How concerned should I be? It's pretty tiny, has to only be a few millimetres in size.
I am debating between a jbj 65 rimless flat panel and an Innovative marine Nuvo 40 long which both are the same price and come with a stand. I don’t mind the aio and the fact that I don’t have a sump in either system. However, I read that some jbj aquariums glass have cracked in the past...
How long do I have before my tank burst? I just went out and purchased a 75g lagoon tank to avoid the same thing from happening with pressure build up in taller tanks.
I’m disappointed due to the amount of funds I purchased the tank for and it’s cracking already.
I guess it’s one of those...
Picked up this used Red Sea 250, in transport one of the corners got chipped, seems cosmetic to me but want a second opinion before I bother to leak test
I just noticed this today. I didn't bang anything on the glass.
I can't feel any imperfections on the outside or inside of the tank.
It's about 25% up from the bottom of my 210 gallon tank so I'm a bit worried.
Do I need to replace the tank?
While drilling my 90g to put in an overflow, the drilled kicked, I put too much pressure and this was the end result… Is it worth it to just replace the panel?
Great first post
This is day 2 now, and I have been paralyzed in fear...so I know that I'm just a sitting duck here. I woke up Thursday morning and saw a nasty crack in the bottom front left corner of my JBJ 15 gal nano. It has not spread, and it is not leaking. No idea why it cracked, but it has been set up...
I was drilling my Red Sea Reefer 250's ATO reservoir to convert it into a refugium. Well, drilling didn't go to plan and I cracked the tank (see pictures). I'm wondering if I can seal the crack with silicone. My thought is the reservoir is only 2 gallons, so there's not a lot of pressure from...
System :waterbox 35.2 AIO
I cannot see any depth, and cannot feel both at both side generally.
When I use my fingernail, maybe I could feel super duper tiny difference at inside.(not even noticable)
Just worry if this can be develop as crack ? Or
Is this just simple scratch.
I marked as...
I bought this today and i was transporting it . It his a metal beam on my truck but very slightly . And I see this bubble crack on the edge of the glass . I’m asking to know if I can do anything to fix this …… I’m really scared it might pop . Am I running a ticking time bomb ?
Hello all,
I was cleaning the glass and found some salt build up. Further investigation and I found quite a crack
The crack is leaking, so I assume it’s a “Do not pass go, get a new tank” kind of thing. Its a relatively new (1 year or so) SC Aquariumstar fire 150 gallon.
Any tips on limping...
Hi all. I recently purchased a used blue marine reef 200 but the sump has a chipped corner. It holds water just fine tested it for a couple of days and no leaks but I like to reinforce it just to be safe. What would be the best way to do this, any suggestions?
I drilled my 75 and when I screwed the bulkhead on and I heard some weird grinding noises. Took it off and noticed some cracks in it. One is an actual crack, the other is a large chip near the edge of the hole.
I assume it would be dumb to actually use this and I should get a new tank? The...
It is officially time for a Red Sea Reefer 750XXL to enter my life.
Ive been keeping a close watch and waiting for the right time to pull the trigger. Ive been in the hobby for a little over 15 years. Started with a little bio cube, then a bigger bio cube, then a 120g, then back down to a...
Hey guys. Getting a new biocube after my old 32 led cracked on me. Do I need to use a self leveling mat or are they not worth the money? Not really sure why the old one cracked and I’m trying to prevent it from happening again.
AHHHHH - I was feeding my fish earlier in the week when I saw a hairline "crack" on the eurobrace of my 160 gallon seamless bowfront. Upon closer inspection, it is fully cracked!
I contacted the manufacturer and they informed me that I should repair the aquarium by draining it and then silicone...
Like the title says, I was cleaning an older Nuvo Fusion 30 gallon long, and I bumped the corner and heard a crunch. At first, I didn't notice anything, but later I noticed the crack in the corner (pictured below). I filled it with water and it doesn't leak at all, but my worry is that I'll wake...
Hey everyone! Usually I don’t post on here unless I really need help with tank related issues. But today I’ve decided to post something different.
I was having an awesome day today until I came home today and noticed a huge crack in my Waterbox 20. Can’t lie, I’m a little grateful seeing as it...
How long do glass aquarium last before you proactively take them out of service or replace them to avoid a catastrophy or leak?
Obviously, there are levels of quality that could affect this number. So perhaps a high/low answer?
Anyone with real experience? Any manufacturers with tested and...
I had my SCA 150 set up for 10 months and had to break it down at the end of August '19 to move from Georgia to Michigan. Here is my original build thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/matts-natural-reef.488794/
I decided to move the tank and stand together by lifting the stand with a...
Hi, I came across this video on YouTube. I dont have anymore details from what you see in the video but to put it mildly this was a total tank disaster. Watch, enjoy and comment
