constant flow

I know coral enjoy the flow during the day time, but what about night? Do we lower flow for them? Do we lower flow for the fish to sleep? I know reefers didn’t worry about this when controllers weren’t a thing, but I’m curious where it stands and what everyone does.

I'm using the XF 250, and the constant flow option. I have a few programs set up, so that it changes flow rate throughout the day. Say from 10%, to 20%, to 30%, back to 20%, and then back to 10%. It works, but the ramp between the different flows is not very smooth at all. It goes from 10%...
