carpet anemone

This morning as we were feeding our carpet nemes I noticed a growth on it. It looks like a little carpet nem arm. I have never seen this before and am not finding any examples similar in my searches. Any thoughts on what this could be? Appreciate the insight! These are the best pictures I could get.

Im looking to buy a Stichodactyla gigantea anemone preferably green but open to other colors. I've been having trouble trying to force one locally in Pennsylvania.

Looking for something basic to start with. may keep it in a smaller tank with some shrimp but eventually want to move up to a nem only tank.
