    Green Cabbage Leather not shedding?

Morning all! I've had my green cabbage leather for roughly 6 years, but in the last 2 months it has looked horrible. I initially thought it had to do with lighting and/or flow due to coral growth throughout the tank. I adjusted the corals above it so the leather wasn't shaded anymore and...

    Cabbage coral on substrate

Can cabbage coral be kept on the substrate? Will the tissue be irritated? I rarely see any sand covering it and it seems happy but for the bottom half touching the sand. It never seems to as fully extend. Should I prop the rock it’s on up off the sand?
