Nice horsy photos, love how they are all very distinct color "morphs".Is the name Almathea in referance to the mythological aspect regarding Zues or was it just a good name choice you decided on. Just wondering as when I name my animals they usually have a personality/physical traits that makes me think of the name... For instance, does Eeyore pout sometimes and prefer to be a loner?
Thanks Bert.Amalthea was the last horse added to the tank.Hence her smaller size even though she was from the same batch.I chose the name from The Last Unicorn cartoon.I am not well rehearsed in mythology. Eeyore gave me a scare when I first got her.She turned yellow overnight and was a finicky feeder.She did pout for a good week before becoming acclimated.As for Rook,I just liked the name from chess.I thought the name Piglet would be too degrading.Just between you and me though,she is a piglet.
