FIRST THINGS FIRST: What are Nannochloropsis?
• Nannochloropsis are tiny, non-flagellated, green algae, high in Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA, DHA, and nucleic acids, which serves as an excellent source of food for filter feeders, copepods, clams, and other living sea creatures.
• Another benefit of Nannochloropsis is its ability to consume several nitrogen waste compounds, such as ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. This characteristic aids if you are prone to overfeeding, adding new livestock, or reducing the frequency of water changes.
